Sylvester Enzio Stallone (born Michael Sylvester Gardenzio Stallone) is an American Actor, Screenwriter, Director and Producer. He is best known for his portrayal of Rocky and Rambo in the film series of the same name.  Raised a Catholic, in 2010, he said in a an interview with GQ magazine that he considered himself a spiritual man, but was not part of any organised church institution

He has long had an interest in past lives and as early as 1980 he underwent hypnosis to explore his. He claims to have relived many past lives and in some cases seen his past death.

For example, he was executed during the French Revolution. Unhappiness with the reign of King Louis XVI led to the establishment of the French First Republic in September 1792, followed by his execution in January 1793. This sparked the ‘Reign of Terror’, an attempt to eradicate alleged “counter-revolutionaries”. This ended in July 1794 with more than 16,600 having been executed.  Stallone said, “I once went back to the French Revolution in the 18th century. The immersive feeling made me feel thrilling and amazing… That’s why every time I see the guillotine, I always have a strange feeling. It is not a feeling of fear, but rather a sense of peace”.

Stallone said: “It is really interesting to know what your previous life was like”. Having experiences of several past lives he realised there is a common trait, namely the pursuit of freedom. He believes that his execution in 18th century France was because he opposed the political system at the time. He is reputed to have said when asked if being beheaded hurt, “Oh, no, it doesn’t hurt. You don’t feel anything – except your head hitting the basket… and that’s it”.

And he is not alone, Stevie Nicks also believes she had a past life in the time of the French Revolution and was put to death by guillotine. And this has caused a phobia of exposing her neck.

In many of his past lives he has had many difficulties to overcome. But in one life he was born into a wealthy South African family and was well educated and comfortable.

In his most recent life, he believes he was a professional boxer in the 1930s. Talking about this he said, “In a recent past life, I was struck with a fatal punch in the fight for the champion of boxing”. And this has had an influence on his current life. He attributes this experience as the inspiration for writing the Rocky movie series which tells the story of the unknown boxer who gets the chance to fight for the heavyweight boxing title. Stallone wrote and in many cases directed all the Rocky films (1976 to 2006).

As with many people who experience a number of past lives, he has also had at least one non-human incarnation. He said, “Also, I have been something very Central American – a Guatemalan monkey, perhaps”.
